Pop star Lady Gaga has revealed that she takes prescirption pills in order to help her deal better with the high pressures of fame. The controversial singer, 24, says the medication helps her keep depressive or panic thoughts at bay.

“I can’t control my thoughts at all,” she admitted.

The star, who has confessed to suffering physical symptoms from stress, including headaches and blurred vision, confirmed she has been tested for lupus, a disease which causes the immune system to attack the body and which killed her aunt.

In an interview she did to reveal the test results, she said: “I don’t want anyone to worry.”

But the star, who is on a world tour, said she is haunted by the death of her aunt Joanne in 1976.

Gaga said she feels so ‘connected’ to her that she has the day Joanne died tattooed on her arm.

She also wears a pair of pink, floral shorts that are almost 40 years old because they once belonged to her aunt.

“I wear them when I want her to protect me,” she said.
